Upstairs in what was an old warehouse and a lawn-mower retail outlet, the Rattlesnake Bar can seat around 60 diners and has become a most popular place to dine in its own right. The ambience has a definite emphasis on ‘chill’ – the music up here leans strongly toward the indigenous, contemporary sounds of NZ-Pacifica. The sounds of The Black Seeds, Trinity Roots, Shapeshifter, Kora, Katchafire, and Pheonix Foundation etc all work well in the Rattlesnake and we feature the best local DJ’s most nights.

The ‘Snake is a one-room entertainment complex – plasma screens upon which to watch the footy (great downstairs too!) and the room is also available for Private Functions. For those of you with children, please bring them with you as we are absolutely child friendly. Kids can choose from their own menu, colour to their hearts content and amuse themselves with an array of vintage Tonka toys – the greatest play things ever produced.
