At The Movies - April School Holidays
At The Movies - April School Holidays
As far as kids go, some of the most anticipated movie releases of the year fall during the first term school holidays - what better excuse to give them a bit of pocket money and pack them off to the flicks.

NZ release date:
7 April 2011

Directed by:
Carlos Saldanha

Jesse Eisenberg, Anne Hathaway, Jamie Foxx, Neil Patrick Harris

When Blu, a domesticated macaw from small-town Minnesota, meets the fiercely independent Jewel, he takes off on an adventure to Rio de Janeiro with this bird of his dreams.

The creators (also responsible for the immensely successful Ice Age series) have really called on a lot of star power for this animated film - expect some great one-liners from the likes of Jane Lynch and Jaime Foxx.
